On Saturday, June 8th a Polish Flag Raising Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. was held at the Government of Alberta’s McDougall Centre building at 455 6 St SW in Calgary.
There was a brief celebration, including the singing of the Canadian and Polish national anthems, speeches by invited guests and representatives from the Polish community of Calgary, and dances performed by Polish dance groups.

On Sunday, The Polish Canadian Association of Calgary and the Polish Combatants’ Association in Canada, Calgary Branch No. 18 invited everyone to celebrate Polish-Canadian Heritage Day at the Polish Canadian Cultural Centre (Dom Polski). They had an Open House called “Meet Your Polish Neighbours”.  There was a celebration with delicious Polish food and an impressive display of Polish art and culture. There were great performances by: Mazovia, Polanie, Krakusy, Młodzi Duchem as well as Andrzej Ryszka Blues Rock Band.
